朱墨とクレヨンを使い、描いたシリーズの絵画です。
「朱墨」は、主に書道の修正などに使う朱い墨ですが、この独特の朱の発色を生かして絵を描きたいと思いました。朱墨は彩度が強く、上から色をのせると濁ったり、色によっては朱に負けて見えなくなってしまので、朱と戦いつつ、でも朱に勝たないように色をのせていきました。

This is a series of paintings drawn using vermilion ink and crayons.
This red ink named ”Shu-ink" in Japan used mainly for correcting calligraphy, and I wanted to make the most of its unique and excitingcoloring.So, I put colors on top of the vermillion so that they would fight the vermillion, but not defeat it. What I like about crayons is their coloring andtheir proximity to the body while drawing.
